Emergency Response: Help Equip Care for 100 Las Vegas Residents in Recovery

Hope Harbor and Together We Give Mobilize Emergency Response for Approximately 100 Las Vegas Residents Facing Disruption in Substance-Use Treatment

Community asked to help immediately equip receiving capacity with beds, mattresses, bedding, clothing, hygiene supplies, food, and essential equipment

LAS VEGAS, NV — Hope Harbor of Las Vegas, Together We Give and its community partners are mobilizing an immediate community response for approximately 100 Southern Nevada residents whose substance-use treatment services have been disrupted. Most of the patients have just started their treatment, so the organizations are calling on the community for support.

Hope Harbor is preparing to receive the affected individuals and support continuity of care and offer stability in their recovery. Together We Give is coordinating the public resource response so the receiving space can be equipped with the beds, bedding, clothing, hygiene supplies, food, appliances, and other essentials required for a rapid intake.

The immediate message to Southern Nevada is simple: the receiving response is being prepared now, the need is immediate, and the community can help make sure essential supplies are in place before people arrive.

IMMEDIATE COMMUNITY NEEDS

• 50 twin-over-twin bunk beds
• 100 twin mattresses and mattress-support boards
• 100 twin sheet sets, waterproof mattress covers, pillows and blankets
• 500 bath towels and personal hygiene kits
• Men's and women's clothing sets, new socks and underwear
• 100 pairs of sneakers and 100 pairs of shower shoes
• 100 cases of bottled water and immediate food support
• 3 refrigerators and 3 freezers
• Pots, pans, serving utensils, disposable cups, plates and other food-preparation supplies
• Cleaning, laundry, storage and intake supplies
• Pet supplies, including dog food, bowls and solid-bottom kennels, as needed
• Transportation, pickup, delivery and assembly support for donated items

Individuals, businesses, faith communities, service organizations and other community partners can help by contributing all or part of a needed category. The full quantity is not required for a donation to make an immediate difference.
